Our commitment
Quiet Budget is built with privacy as a core principle. Your financial data belongs to you. We don't sell it, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't use it for anything other than providing you the service.
What we collect
Account information
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We use this to identify your account and display your name in the app.
Budget data
Transactions, categories, amounts, and any notes you enter. This is stored in our database and is only accessible to you.
AI conversations
When you use the AI assistant, your messages and your transaction data for the selected month are sent to Google Gemini to generate responses. We do not store AI conversation history on our servers beyond your active session.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand general usage patterns (page views, feature usage). This data is anonymized and aggregated. No financial data is sent to analytics.

- To authenticate you and keep your account secure
- To display your budget data back to you
- To generate AI-powered insights when you use the AI assistant
- To improve the service based on anonymized usage patterns
What we don't do
- We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to anyone
- We do not use your financial data to target ads (there are no ads)
- We do not share your data with third-party data brokers
- We do not train AI models on your data (Gemini API calls are stateless)
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google OAuth for authentication
- Google Gemini for AI assistant features
- Google Analytics for anonymized usage statistics
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing them if you have concerns.
Data security
- All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
- Database access is restricted and authenticated
- We use OAuth (no passwords are stored by us)
Your rights
- Access your data at any time through the app
- Export your data to CSV
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Data retention
Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication (keeping you signed in). We do not use third-party tracking cookies beyond Google Analytics.
Children's privacy
Quiet Budget is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
